Srinagar- Jamkash launched the new Maruti Suzuki WagonR on 7 March 2022 in Kashmir valley, betting on the tallBoy to continue its undisputed reign as one of the most iconic Indian hatchbacks. This is the first major update for the Wagon R since this generation was launched in 2019 and sees it get cosmetic updates as well as new engine options. This updated Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is available in four trim levels across six single-tone shades and two new dual-tone color options. The 1.0-litre engine is available up to the VXi trim whereas the 1.2-litre engine is available only from the ZXi trim onwards. Both engines can be had with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual in select trim levels.
The Dimensions of the new wagon R are quite comfortable , with a length of 365.5 cm’s and the width of 162 cms, height of 167.5 cms, and the wheelbase is 243.5 cms the Tall boy stands different from the crowd and looks strong. The 1197cc engine guarantees a robust performance generating a maximum torque of 113 @4499RPM and the maximum power of 66KW@6000RPM. The claimed mileage is 23.56Kmpl on manual transmission and 24.43 on Auto Gear Shift and the tank capacity of 32 ltrs .All this in a price range of 5.39 lakh Rs to 7.10 lakh making it attractive for the masses.
The cabin in the Wagon R is quite spacious, offering steering mounted controls and smartplay studio with smartphone navigation and 4 speakers, dual tone Interiors, 2nd row 60:40 split seat, Day/Night IRVM, Tilt steering, Steering wheel garnish, 1 liter space in door handle, Driver side sunvisor with ticket holder, Front passenger side vanity mirror sun visor, Silver finish Gear Shift knob. All this makes it loaded with features.
