PUNE: Yamaha Motor, the Japa-nese giant motorcycle maker, on Monday introduced a new BS-VI norm compliant YZF-R15 Version 3.0 motorcycle model with price starting from Rs 1.45 lakh at Delhi showroom to boost sales in Asia’s third biggest economy. The top-end model costs Rs 1.47 lakh. Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 comes as the third BS-VI compliant model from the brand after FZ FI and FZS FI motorcycles priced between Rs 99,200 and Rs 1.02 lakh, which were launched last month.
The upgrade to BS VI technology has resulted in a price increase of around Rs 4,420 over the BS IV model.
“With Yamaha continuing to perk up track performances with the R series, the new YZF-R15 Version 3.0 with BS VI-compliant engine and new features will be able to create optimum excitement in India in its category,” Motofumi Shitara, Yamaha Motor India chairman, said.
